In my bachelor’s thesis, I am exploring soil microbes found on Icelandic nunataks - rocky formations that protrude from the surrounding glacier. I'm investigating how factors like nunatak size, age, vegetation, and colonization impact the diversity of these microbes. Through my research, I hope to shed light on these intricate relationships and contribute to our understanding of these remarkable landscapes.
