I am a Master’s student focusing on how global change affects soil microbial communities. My research investigates the responses of soil microbial biomass to extreme drought and heatwaves, with particular attention to carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus dynamics. I am interested in how soil microbes adapt to single and combined climate stressors, and how these responses shape ecosystem functioning under increasing climate variability. By studying microbial strategies under extreme conditions, my work aims to advance our understanding of ecosystem resilience and nutrient cycling in a changing world.
